Amend Pages

Overview

The Administration side of the website has a variety of sub-sections that allow you to perform administrative procedures on the website. The section called ‘Amend Pages’ refers to the various amendments that can be made to specific pages within the website. For example, adding image links to the index page would normally require programming expertise and server access rights to modify the page layout and insert custom content. With these functions you can make similar changes to the various pages with ease.

A general description of the functions that can be found under the Amend Pages section are described below. The list may answer some of your questions without you having to open one of the specific sub-categories and read the detailed explanation.

AMEND INDEX IMAGE

The function to change the index image can be accessed by clicking on the link titled ‘Amend Index Image’ or the icon next to it under the ‘Amend Pages’ section of the Administration side of the website:

This function is designed to manipulate the index image. The index image is the large image displayed on the home page and can be updated to keep the website looking fresh.

INDEX LINKS

The function to change the index links can be accessed by clicking on the link titled ‘Index Links’ or the icon next to it under the ‘Amend Pages’ section of the Administration side of the website:

This function is designed to manipulate the index links. The index links are images displayed underneath the ‘SideBar Navigation’ menu on the home page. They link to other websites that are associated with Lexden Cricket Club in some way.

CLUB OVERVIEW

The functions for amending the club overview page can be accessed by clicking on the link titled ‘Club Overview’ or the icon next to it under the ‘Amend Pages’ section of the Administration side of the website:

This will present you with two functions designed to manipulate the club overview page. The Club Overview page is basically a block of text that outlines the cricket club and it’s history in a brief and concise way.

CONTACT US

The contact items functions can be accessed by clicking on the link titled ‘Contact Us’ or the icon next to it under the ‘Amend Pages’ section of the Administration side of the website:

This will present you with a list of specific functions designed to manipulate the contact us page. The Contact Us page displays a list of contacts, such as the ‘Club Secretary’, for users to be able to make contact with the club.

FIND US

The functions for amending the find us page can be accessed by clicking on the link titled ‘Find Us’ or the icon next to it under the ‘Amend Pages’ section of the Administration side of the website:

This will present you with two functions designed to manipulate the find us page. The Find Us page displays text and images designed to aid a user in finding the location of the Lexden Cricket Club ground.

HONOURS BOARD

The honours board functions can be accessed by clicking on the link titled ‘Honours Board’ or the icon next to it under the ‘Amend Pages’ section of the Administration side of the website:

This will present you with a list of specific functions designed to manipulate the honours boards. An Honours Board displays the various awards that have been given to the exceptional players and contributing members for each season.
