Lexden Go Up As Champions!
January 1st 2007
Lexden Cricket Club capped the most successful season in their history with a 96 run win away to Chappel & Wakes Colne on 17th.September 2006. This was their 10th.win of the season & it ensured that they finished top of Division 3 in the PDQ Cars North Essex Cricket League. They have been runners-up in the past but this is the first time they have ever been Champions. 4 bowlers & 3 batsmen featured in the top 10 for that division, another unique achievement. Captain Robin Seller was delighted with the performances of the team & said, 'Every single player who represented Lexden Cricket Club can be proud of their achievements in helping us win the title. It has been much appreciated and an absolute pleasure to captain such a side.'
