What A Soggy Start!
May 30th 2007
After that gloriously dry & sunny April, May was rather a damp squib for Lexden. All 3 fixtures at Spring Lane were cancelled due to rain which means that going into June they have yet to play at home. Among the casualties was the game against Shalford, after the away match against the same club had also been rained off. Hopefully there will be a chance to play them in 2008! The ground is partially submerged at present but fortunately this weekend's game is at Chappel & Wakes Colne in the Plate competition. The next fixture scheduled for Spring Lane is on Sunday 10th.June against Great Totham - weather permitting.
