Friendly Side Notches First Win
September 16th 2007
Lexden's friendly team, only started up this season, claimed it's first win in the last match of the season. On a lovely sunny afternoon they bowled out Colchester Garrison for 105 then knocked off the runs for the loss of only 3 wickets. Star performer again was Mark Howlett with 50 not out but the bowling & fielding were good to set up the victory. Hopefully more success will follow next season when the programme of friendly matches will be expanded. For a full account of the game see the Season Reports section of this website.
