Lexden Consolidate In Promotion Year
October 1st 2007
Having been champions of Division 3 in 2006, Lexden finished in a comfortable mid-table position at the end of their first season in Division 2. By losing to table toppers Eight Ash Green in their final game they slipped 2 places to 5th., but were still over a point clear of 6th.placed Great Totham & less than half a point behind Gosfield in 3rd. They also had the distinction of doing the double over Great Bromley who finished 2nd. With the friendlies team making a promising start this year & the new pavilion at Spring Lane sure to be ready soon, the prospects look good for 2008.
