Champagne Moment

P10136842.jpgAt a recent home game Colin Hayward was presented with an award by Chairman Allan Highfield. It was for the 'Champagne Moment' of the 2007 season, which occured in a game at Ardleigh when he ran out Jo Bland with a direct hit. His achievement was judged the best by members voting at the AGM but Colin was unable to be there at the time to receive his trophy. He has already made an early bid for the 2008 award with a similar piece of sharp fielding that produced another run out at Great Bentley. Clearly, there is life in the old dog yet!
