ANNUAL END-OF-SEASON DINNER
November 23rd 2008
On Friday 21st.November 2008 Lexden held their usual post-season dinner. There was a change of venue this time & the good folk at The Bollywood Inn turned out to be excellent hosts. The food was delicious & we even managed to drink them out of Cobra! In a change with tradition the presentation of trophies also took place & the worthy winners were as follows :-
Batsman of the Year - JON JONES
Bowler of the Year - COLIN HAYWARD
Clubman of the Year - JERRY MORGAN
Champagne Moment - JEREMY JENKINS
A new trophy was also introduced, awarded by the Club Captain(Robin Seller)to the player who, in his opinion, produced the Outstanding Performance of the season.
This was presented to CHRIS MARTIN for his brave 82 at Great Totham after being hit on the head by the ball.
There was then time for a round of Jerry's famous quiz which to no one's surprise was won for the umpteenth time by Robin, partnered on this occasion by Neil Morrison.
A good time was had by all & our thanks go to Jeremy for organising it.
