WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE!!!

IMG_0609.JPGWednesday 11th.February 2009 saw the Spring Lane ground transformed into a lake after more than 12 hours of continuous rain. The River Colne, already swelled by melted snow, burst its banks & completely submerged the ground. The water, up to 2 feet deep in places, came within a few yards of the new pavilion which fortunately sits on slightly higher ground. It was the greatest flood for many years but hopefully that's our one for the year out of the way now.
