BOWLING NIGHT
April 8th 2009
Jon-bowl-09.JPGOur annual tenpin bowling night was held on Sunday 29th.March & all the usual suspects were in attendance, although various illnesses forced some late withdrawals. As this meant only 2 lanes were needed the players were divided into bowlers & batsmen. Some high scores were posted by the bowlers with Jon Jones proving invincible & bowling the highest game of the night. As overall winner he was presented with a bottle of champagne by chairman Allan Highfield. Scores in the other lane were more modest but still respectable & all 3 games were won by Jerry Morgan, just. One little bonus was a free round of drinks & an extra game courtesy of the management as the bowlers' lane kept malfunctioning. Four of us went for a curry afterwards but Allan may have regretted it next day! Thanks to Jeremy for organising the event & giving us some laughs at his bowling technique.
